Either venture into the ancient streets of the city and explore on your own or lay back and unwind in your four-star hotel until the next day. Day 2 - ROME Begin to explore the city after breakfast as you join a three-hour walking tour. Learn and unravel the secrets of famous Roman landmarks from your tour guide. Your tour will begin at the ruins of Lagro Argentina where Julius Caesar met his assassins. It is also home to three ancient temples whose broken columns are all that remains nowadays. Continue to Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Farnese and Piazza Navona, the picturesque squares in the city and home to significant architecture and art. One such important piece is the Fountain of Four Rivers. Make a wish at the most beautiful baroque fountain in the world, the Trevi Fountain before climbing up the last destination of the day, the Spanish Steps. Spend the rest of the day and overnight stay at the hotel in your own leisure. Day 3 - ROME - NAPLES - POMPEII - SORRENTO After your breakfast, depart for the beautiful city of Naples where a local guide will take you on a walking tour. Regard the Historic Center of Naples with awe as you walk along Piazza del Plebiscito. Look to the east and gaze at the Royal Palace. It was used by the Bourbon Kings during their rule of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. After this, shop and splurge at the Galleria Umberto I. It was built between 1887-1891 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Right across from this marvelous structure is the oldest continuously active opera house, the San Carlo Opera House. Enjoy more of Naples with Neapolitan specials like Mozzarella, salami, pizza, and pasta. After lunch, continue down to Pompeii and visit a coral and cameo factory. Then move to the excavations of this historic city buried by ash and stones from the Mt. Vesuvius eruption in 79 BC. We go further to discover the quaint and charming town of Sorrento; famous for the cultivation of oranges, lemons and Olive trees. Cap of the day with dinner here and an overnight stay at the hotel. Day 4 - SORRENTO - CAPRI - ROME From Sorrento find yourself on a ferry going through the scenic sea-side port Marina Grande on your way to the island of Capri. Once on the island, visit the Blue Grotto. Hop on a small row boat, lean back and let the current take you through a small cave mouth. Be mesmerized by the deep blue crystalline waters within, illuminated by the noon sunlight. Return to the island and surround yourself with lush trees and flowers in the Augustus Gardens. It boasts of a series of scenic lanes with a sweeping view from the Marina Piccola Bay at Via Krupp to the Faraglioni rock formations, a path that will surely take your breath away.
