Stop At: Old Town, Piazza Municipio, 04019, Terracina Italy

Pick up from the hotel in Rome and departure for the visit of the city of Terracina, a place that according to mythology was populated by the Lestrigoni, legendary anthropophagous giants that destroyed Ulysses' fleet. Starting from "Borgo Pio", we will see the characteristic vicolo Rappini that represents the popular buildings of the '700 where fishermen used to live, piazza della Repubblica that retains its medieval character with three large monuments which were built between 1074 and 1350, the suggestive rock pinnacle of Pisco Montano.

Stop At: Cattedrale di Terracina, Piazza del Municipio Piazza, 04019, Terracina Italy

We will continue through the upper historical center with evidence of both Roman domination (the forum, the ruins of the theater, the four-sided arch, the capitolium, ruins of the Appian Way) and the medieval period (the walls, alleys, small squares, secret passages, the Frumentaria Tower, noble houses, the Cathedral). Short lunch not included.

At the end we will move towards the archaeological area located on the top of Monte San'Angelo to visit the ruins of the Roman Temple dedicated to the divinity of Jupiter Anxur (Jupiter the Child), the small temple and the ruins of the roman military camp (castrum).
