Last Judgement Show with Skip-the-Line Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Tour
Our No Wait Access Vatican tour gets you past the long lines at the Vatican Museums so you can spend more time exploring the world’s most incredible art collection and less time waiting outside. Travelling in groups of 20 people or less, we visit all the highlights of the Vatican Museums – from the Sistine Chapel to lesser-known gems of the collection, capping off our tour with a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica crowned by a trip up its incredible Dome.
With commentary from your expert, English-speaking guide you’ll see the Pinecone Courtyard, the galleries of Maps, Tapestries and Candelabra, as well as the breathtaking Raphael Rooms. Listen as your guide brings these works of art to life for you – pointing out things you never would have noticed on your own and teaching you about the immense figures behind these great works.
A definite highlight of our tour comes when we visit the Sistine Chapel. Commentaries are not permitted within the chapel, so your tour guide will have already filled you in on the details with the aid of photographs of the frescos inside. Take some time to admire this world-famous chapel, picking out the details you heard about – for example Michelangelo’s self-portrait in which he immortalizes just how hard it must have been for him to produce these amazing works of art. As incredible as his work is, it must have been backbreaking – a fact you’ll understand all the better after you learn about the straining conditions his genius had to work under.
After getting our fill of the Sistine Chapel, we’ll use our Skip the Line Access again, exiting by a special door which leads us straight down to St. Peter’s Basilica and past another long line. See the incredible Papal Altar under Bernini’s Baldachin, and marvel at Michelangelo’s other timeless masterpiece, La Pietà, as you discover the most important church in the Christian world. Once outside again, you can admire Bernini’s clever optical illusion in St. Peter’s Square, spot the balcony from which the Pope delivers his public addresses and snap photos of the basilica’s heavenly façade.
Complete your experience by joining the new extraordinary theatre show about the Sistine Chapel, combining art, live performances and the most sophisticated technology, for a 270° immersive experience. From Marco Balich, the creator of 20 Olympic Ceremonies, and with musics from Sting, this unprecedented show features the history of the most fascinating artwork ever created, unveiling all its secrets. To top it all off, we have reserved only central tickets for you, so you are guaranteed to enjoy the show at its best.
