About this activity
Meet your guide at Piazza Farnese, and stroll with the rest of your group to Campo dei Fiori, home to a bustling food market in the heart of Rome. Shop for ingredients, and then stroll with your guide and group to your cooking class. Taking part in a 16th-century private house in Piazza Navona, the setting is an authentic Roman venue, perfect for traditional, nonna-style cooking.
With the help of your chef, you’ll make two different doughs to create a variety of shapes from maccheroncini to fettuccine, cavatelli, orecchiette, spaghetti, garganelli, trofie, strozzapreti, and more. Taste olive oil, and hear secrets, curiosities, and traditions that relate to the dishes as you roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
After preparing the fresh pasta, learn how to make three different sauces — perhaps amatriciana or carbonara — and then sit down to eat your creations. The full menu includes three pasta dishes, a slice of a homemade pie, Chianti wine, coffee, water, and soft drinks.
Your pasta class finishes when your meal ends.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.

My husband and I went to this class on our honeymoon. It was different than what we expected because we thought we would have to do all the cooking. In this class, we mostly learned just about the pasta, made it ourselves and learned about what went into the sauce. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience and was definitely the highlight of our time in Rome. 110 recommend! We felt like one of the family!
Amazing experience! I HIGHLY recommend!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience during this cooking class. We met right outside of Campo de Fiori and then walked through it and then walked to the home where we were doing all the cooking. We learned how to make several types of pastas. We did not make the sauces, there was another woman there who showed us how to make them. This class is more than 3 hours!!! The information says 10am-1pm, however, we did not finish until about 3:30pm so plan accordingly! There was a family in our class who had a Colosseum tour scheduled for 3:00pm and had to leave, but they were able to eat some of the dishes and take some to go! Overall, great experience. We finished the class with 3 pasta dishes to eat, wine and dessert!
We had such a wonderful time and ate the best pasta we have ever had. The class was in someone's home as opposed to a test kitchen type set-up which made it feel less like a class and more like a bunch of friends hanging out. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cooking class in Rome
This is a really fun thing to do when visiting Rome. Having tasted some fabulous freshly made pasta at restaurants whilst in Italy, it was great to find out how it's done. Our guide/chef was very friendly and encouraging and made pasta-making seem easy and achievable. Our group was small and the class very hands-on. We made lots of varieties of pasta and it was then cooked up to enjoy. Paola's sauces, which we added to our pasta, certainly made it taste delicious. It was also interesting that classes are conducted in authentic home environments.
I highly recommend this very unique and specialized cooking class in Rome! Eva and Guiseppe were amazing - very welcoming and fun to interact with. Our class was actually held at their home, outside on a lovely patio. Guiseppe started with the basics of pasta making and then together we made two kinds of dough and about 10 different shapes. Once all the pasta was made, Guiseppe and his assistant prepared delicious sauces, catering to our fellow classmates who were vegetarian, and we shared a beautiful dinner including homemade wine and dessert and coffee. I laughed so much while learning and am eager to host my own pasta-making dinner with friends here at home! And I guarantee to sign up for another class the next time I am in Rome!
