We went May 18 2019 for the 9am tour - the guide was from England and has lived here for several years and has 4 degrees - I am only saying this because I don’t know his name BUT HE WAS EXCELLENT - by far the absolute best tour we have had and we are on our third country. His knowledge was beyond impressive - he is returning to school for theology (after chemistry, computer science, law and philosophy). This tour was worth every penny we paid for it. The only negative is Viator does not allow communication between guide and participants which many other companies allow. the other 4 people did not show up and he could not text them to see what the status was. Unfortunately for them they missed the best tour guide Eternal City Tours has.

This tour was an excellent experience. The Basilicas were incredible. All the Christian relics were impressive. It was centered a bit more around the Catholic faith.

this tour was great. amazing for catholics but also great for people who love history and art. the guide was a bit jumpy and hyper at times but very knowledgable. this is a very small tour of 6 people so we never had to use ear phones. this tour is not suitable for strollers, walkers, wheel chairs or children as the tour took almost 4.5 hours to complete. there is no place to sit or use the bathrooms and your feet feel like they are going to fall off with all the walking and the extreme heat. it was about 38 degrees that day and many times i became dizzy. i took my 8 year old, who enjoyed seeing the relics but it was way took much history that went well over her head. the guide was kind enough to take us to an unscheduled stop for my daughter. everyone bought a cold drink and pastry and used the bathroom. i was very grateful to him for this. it is advisable to bring a knapsack with water and some snacks with you on this tour. the tour starts at a major land mark, easy to find, but ends in the middle of nowhere, off the tourist map. so you will have to take the tram or taxi back to the city centre. in the majority of the places that you visit on this tour, pictures are not permitted and you dont have time to purchase any post cards as there is a very long schedule that you need to follow.
