Private Rustic Roman Lunch with Wine Tasting beside Battlefield

It's not every day that you can sip wine on the grounds of an ancient battlefield! This fully-private (driver-guide), half-day, food and wine excursion from your Rome hotel at 11am takes in all the views one would expect from a trip to the Frascati wine-making region. Enjoy a comprehensive wine-tasting in a premium vineyard where you'll be offered up to five wines (if you wish to taste so many!) with the producer's own olive oil (or vegetables from the garden) and a variety of local breads. Includes a filling lunch with wine or beer. A short ride and you will arrive at one of the area's most typical "fraschette" for a local lunch.

The wines you will taste in no particular order are as follows:

Abelos (Frascati DOCG superior BIO - fresh flowery scent with full body)
496 (Frascati DOC BIO) - a white wine scented with almonds, strong personality!
Amacos (Frascati DOCG Superiore Reserve) - a mature, strong, outstanding white wine
17/11 Canellino (Cannellino di Frascati DOCG Superior BIO) - "Suadentissima" sweetness
Iuno - a young red wine which offers red fruits and licorice flavors
Several of the wines you will taste have been accorded the highest awards and accolades in Italy.

Lunch typically includes:

Salumi misti (mixed meats)
Formaggi misti (mixed cheeses)
Porchetta d'Ariccia (roasted pork with rosemary) - tasty!
Verdure sott'olio (vegetables in oil)
Mozzarella di bufala (perhaps the tastiest cheese ever created?)
Ricottina di bufala (perhaps the tastiest cheese ever created?)
Pane casereccio (bread baked in heaven)
Either wine or beer will be served as you prefer.

Of course you'll have your own limousine and chauffeur (driver-guide) for the entire half-day duration. Return to your hotel or accommodation around 2pm. It's an optimal experience at every turn. When in Rome, don't miss this trip!
