Continue on to discover the Sistine Chapel with its fascinating histories and curiousities. Named after Pope Sistus IV della Rovere, the Chapel is one of the most famous painted interior spaces in the world, and virtually all of this fame comes from the breathtaking painting of its ceiling. The ceiling of the Chapel is one of Michelangelo’s most famous works.

Stop At: St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza di San Pietro, 00120 Vatican City Italy

The tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel ends in St. Peter’s Basilica. See the statue of St. Peter, the papal tombs and the famous statue of Michelangelo’s Pietà. If you happen to be there on a Wednesday, the tour will end in St. Peter’s Square for the Papal Audience. Some days due to events, the guide will be able to explain from outside only. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in Rome.
