Rome and Vatican full day tour

Your English speaking chauffeur/guide will welcome you at your hotel or any other place of your preference at 8.30am (suggested time). During this full day tour in Rome and the Vatican City with your private luxury vehicle, you will have a chance to drive through ancient and Renaissance Rome. This will give you the opportunity to admire and visit some of the most important and famous sights in the city.

Your first stop will be Piazza Venezia, where you can take a look at the monument of Victor Emmanuel II and Mussolini’s Balcony, after climbimg over the Capitoline Hill, (one of Rome’s seven hills) with an amazing view over the Roman Forum. A visit the visit to the Colosseum will be next; of course, if you want you can stop and visit inside (your chauffeur/guide will help you purchase your entrance tickets without having to stand in line). Before you go back to your hotel, you’ll visit more places and monuments that you will not be able to forget; some of these include the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, Piazza di Spagna or Spanish steps, Trevi’s fountain (remember to throw a coin inside!!!), the Pantheon, and many Others.

At lunch time, your English-speaking chauffeur/guide will be happy to suggest some typical local restaurants for a authentic roman meal.

In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to see and visit some of most important attractions in the world, the VATICAN MUSEUM, SISTINE CHAPEL, and ST. PETER’S BASILICA; their visit is necessary if you decide to visit Rome!

The visit at the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica will be conducted by an authorized, English-speaking guide from the Vatican City, who will show you the best parts on your way to the Sistine Chapel.

Next, you will visit the Sistine Chapel, commissioned in 1475 by Pope Sixtus IV, from whom it derives its name. It was designed to be, and still is, the pope’s chapel and the site of papal elections.

After, you will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, “the greatest of all churches of Christendom,” that has the largest interior of any Christian church in the world. There you’ll have the chance to see the “Pietà” of Michelangelo and “Tomb of Saint Peter”, where, according to tradition, the remains of the apostle are kept, making it one of the most sacred places by Christians.
