About this activity
Your tour will begin at 6pm in one Rome's most iconic squares, Piazza Barberini. Here, you will not only meet your guide but also two of the protagonists of our tour, Gian Lorenzo Bernini and water. Follow, the path of the ever present water throughout the streets and learn to use the visual markers of the popes to guide us. This will lead right to one of the most arguably beautiful fountains in the world - the Trevi Fountain.
Also, not to be missed will be a visit to the Trevi Fountain's inner-city rival - The Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona. Along the way, you'll be introduced through Bernini's marvelous works of architecture as well as to his arch-nemesis, Francesco Borromini. Your final stops will be dedicated to a the church of St. Ignazio Loyola and its hidden gem inside, world famous Gelato and the best preserved Roman temple in the world - The Pantheon. Other places that will be visited along the way include: Piazza Venezia, Jewish ghetto, Theatre of Marcellus, Largo Argentina and more.
