Rome Trastevere Segway Tour and Pizza Tasting
3h30
About this activity
The tour leaves from Piazza del Gesù after a brief training session for you to learn how to use a Segway properly. You can practice on the pedestrian zone until you feel comfortable. This way, going in the little streets and up Gianicolo Hill and Piazzale Garibaldi will be no problem at all.
Trastevere is the most typical and picturesque of Rome's neighborhoods. It preserved the old-fashioned buildings that remained intact over the centuries with all their charm. The narrow streets outline the ancient buildings and squares, allowing the eye to glimpse at an artistic, warm, and dreamy Rome. Whiz across streets decorated by traditional restaurants, artisan shops, and fountains, on a path submerged by scents and colors from every street vendors' stalls. Enjoy traditional Rome-style pizza while taking in the views.
Standing tall in the midst of this labyrinth of alleys are monuments such as Villa Farnesina, Palazzo Corsini, and - most significantly - the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere which you can visit inside as well.
To top it off, see the romantic fountain of Rome, l'Acqua Paola, before going up to the best and widest viewpoint. From the Gianicolo Hill you'll get a viewpoint of the whole historical center, including St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican's gardens. On the way back, you will take a nice, pleasant path across the Isola Tiberina and the beautiful Theater Marcello.

This was our first time on a Segway..... it was soooo much fun, we would definitely do this again. It was 36 degrees that day, so zipping around Rome on the Segway was a good way to go. We covered a lot of ground and were able to see things one wouldn’t have been able to if we were just walking around. The guide was a great teacher/ guide and made sure we had a great time and were always safe. Highly recommend !
