Rome's Four Papal Basilicas with a Driver & Licensed Tour Guide

Your private tour will begin in the morning at 8:00 am or in the afternoon 2:00 pm when you meet your Driver and your local Tour Guide who will follow you for the duration of the visit. The canopy and the bronze chair by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the Pietà by Michelangelo and the great funerary statues of the many Popes who succeeded on the throne of Peter will confirm the artistic and historical grandeur of the imposing tomb of the Apostle Peter. Three meters below the main altar and the floor of the Basilica you can walk in the "Grotte Vaticane". At the exit the large Egyptian obelisk in the center of Piazza San Pietro awaits you for some souvenir photos before continuing with the visit of the other three Papal Basilicas. The tour will continue with a visit to the Basilica of San Giovanni, with its own papal palace, seat and residence of the Popes until the fifteenth century, masterpiece of the great architect Francesco Borromini. The medieval mosaics of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in the ancient façade and those of the fifth century that still decorate the central nave will tell you a thousand-year history that has come down to us intact in its beauty. You will end the private tour with a visit to the Apostle Paul's Tomb. The great central nave of the Basilica will welcome you with the mosaics of the faces of all the Popes who continue and preserve the centuries-old Christian faith from the Middle Ages.

At 1.00 pm or 7:00 pm your driver will take you back to your hotel or private apartment.
