Meet your guide near the Colosseum, and start with an overview of life in Ancient Rome. Before you start to walk, plug in your headset, which allows you to hear your guide clearly at all times.
Then, walk past the main entrance line and head into the Colosseum with your skip-the-line ticket. As you explore, hear how the impressive amphitheater was the largest to be constructed in the Roman Empire, and imagine the roar from spectators who came to see gladiators battle in the arena.
From the Colosseum, head to Palatine Hill, once of the historic Seven Hills of Rome. As legend has it, Palatine Hill was the site where Rome was founded. Hear about Roman emperors who made the hill their home as you stroll along the Via Sacra, and then finish your tour in the Roman Forum — home to ruins that once represented the center of Roman government.
