Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy
A journey, skipping the lines, through the Vatican, one of the best museums in Italy. Famous and higly visited, hosts the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Walk around the big galleries of one of the most important museums in the world and discover the spectacular Belvedere Courtyard. Also, you can see the historical maps made by the cartographers of the time at the Gallery of Maps.
We will also get to see the beautiful tapestries made by Raphael’s pupils at the Gallery of tapestries and the marvellous frescoes made by Michelangelo at the Sistine chapel.
Among some of the most important churches of Catholicism there is St. Peter’s Basilica, where the sculpture of La pieta by Michelangelo can be found. Once outside the church we will find ourselves surrounded by the magnificent set of columns made by Bernini.

In the afternoon, we will make our way to the Flavian Amphitheatre, known as the Coliseum, where we will explore the biggest amphitheatre ever made. Accompanied by our touristic guide, we will learn all about Roman emperors and gladiators, and in what consisted the many bloody battles that took place there for the Roman public.
To continue, we will visit the heart of the ancient Rome, the Roman Forum, where the old Romans had their commercial, religious and political meetings and affairs.
We will also walk up the Palatine Hill to enjoy the panoramic views, and where we will find most of the old imperial residences.
