I can't quite remember the name of our tour guide, but she was this cute chicy lady who mirrored a bit of Amal Clooney. They reach out to you personally on your mobile phone the night before so you aren't rushing to find the location the morning of. They set up a time to meet, a location and this particular tour even included a cup of coffee while you wait for the rest of your group! The gentleman who met us up in the morning was very kind and actually helped us with the rest of our trip out to Capri and Venice. He was even texting us suggestions days after the tour to make sure we made the most out of our trip! The tour itself was incredible - we started at 9am so the colosseum wasn't yet very busy - nor was it open to the public yet. So we had a lot of time to really take in the space and listen to the stories without being trampled over. The day before we had a tour at the Vatican with another company and they basically just told us facts and we couldn't quite connect with any of her storytelling, whereas our tour guide basically made us feel like we were in the Colosseum during the time of the Gladiators. Every moment was riveting. Group was small so it was easy to hear our tour guide and to stay together as a group. Highly highly recommend and I would definitely do this exact same tour the next time!!!
