The Official Colosseum Underground tour permits you to enter through an exclusive side door entrance. This tour has limited availability, and the starting time can vary. You will start the tour at our office only steps from the Colosseum. Here, before the tour you will see excellent views of the Colosseum and surrounding areas and can take great panoramic photographs before the tour.

Being one of the most visited monuments in the world, there is a regularly long ticket line. By joining this Official Colosseum dungeons tour, you will be provided with 'skip the line' entrance tickets.

As soon as you enter, you will understand the importance and significance of this ancient historic monument. The tour also gives you access to the Colosseum arena with a beautiful view over-looking the dungeons and then down in to the dungeons area under the Colosseum. The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security

Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.

We had a wonderful time with our guide. She as well was very knowledgeable and handled a difficult person with great care. We had purchased and extended tour, and had the other 5 bail on us, so we had to do the forum on our own. But worked out well because we had mapped it and knew what we wanted to see. It might have been good to have been able to go I the museum there, but that required a super ticket, we were not made aware of. overall a great day.

Being able to get into the underground and colosseum floor was awesome my only change would be more detail or depth. Otherwise, highly recommended.

They told us to meet at the agency. We got there a few minutes early, but still waited. Then the guy from the agency took us to the gate who transferred us to a younger guy that said to wait while they get our tickets. We did skip the line getting in. The guy only gave us tickets to get through security, and instructed us to go to the end and wait for our tour guide. There, we met different people who purchased the underground tour through other means. I talked to one of them, and she got it cheaper directly buying through the Colosseum website. The tour was fantastic, probably the bet tour I've had. Our tour guide was archaeologist, and displayed so much enthusiasm in telling us the history and what what was being found there. However, if I'd do it again, I'll book directly through the Colosseum website, and cut out the expensive middleman.
