Explore Trastevere, known as the most picturesque Roman neighborhood, with its beautiful arcitecture, cobblestone streets with ivy-coated buildings. Your foodie tour guide will introduce you to the locally loved food venues, to taste the best Rome has to offer. In between tastings, receive an insight into the culture and history which define the Eternal City.
Your tours starts at Trapizzino, where you will experience the newest street food innovation in Italy. Decide your favorite Trapizzino with exciting fillings from Roman classics to more unusual and gourmet ingredients, such as Roman oxtail stew, artichokes, parmigiana di melanzane, meatballs, burrata and anchovies and much more. There will be fine wine served with your trapizzino.
Following Trapizzino, visit an award winning salumeria, offering countless types of cheeses and meats. Enjoy the best cheeses Italy has to offer, including , Parmigiano Reggiano drizzled with a 30 year aged balsamic vinegar, truffles, Pecorino Romano, and sweet Gorgonzola. Decide which ham you prefer between Parma, San Daniele and Salami. To compliment the food, a glass of DOCG Chianti wine will be offered to you.
Next savor homemade fresh pasta, pizza from the oldest wood fired oven in Trastevere and fine wine, are served a local favorite restaurant.
The tour ends with an education in gelato at the artisanal gelateria. Become an expert in gelato, by learning how to spot the real thing from the fake stuff. Favorite flavors include pistacchio from Sicily and limone from the Amalfi Coast.

This tour was fantasic. Elena, our guide was entertaining and fun! Our entire family enjoyed all of the tastings of both food and wine! This is a great part of Rome to dine. It is very popular with the locals . Perfect tour--perfect day!
What a fun evening in Rome...a hysterical yet knowledgeable guide and delicious food. Jack pot! We were a group of 7 (3 adults and 4 teens) and I believe we all loved everything. There were 4 stops total (very short distance of walking). It started with Roman street food, next meat and cheeses, then pizza and pasta, and lastly, Gelato. Our guide Divo made this such a fun and memorable experience. We were in Europe for 3 weeks and I was never as full as I was at the end of this tour. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our wine glasses were never empty thanks to Divo:). There were four others with our group, so it wasn’t necessarily a private tour but those 4 were the perfect addition to our group!
Fantastic tour. Loved hearing the history of the food, really does make it taste nicer. Great quality food, gelato a highlight. Wish we'd not left it to the last night to find out where all the good food is!

Francesca was able to provide all the details of the food and wine so they can be purchased in market if desired. Such a great way for us to spend the last night in Rome. Highly recommend!

Our guide Luisa looked after our small party of 14 extremely well. The choice of restaurants and gelato shop were well chosen. We were looked after by the owners and the food and wine certainly met our expectations. Trastevere is an excellent place to visit and our food and wine tour made it an evening to remember!
We had the best time and met the nicest people. Lot's of food and plenty of wine! Guide was great and restaurants were all different kinds. We left very full.

I went on the Trastevere Roman food tour last week with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic time with our guide Raluca. She was funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food and wine tastings was exceptional and the venues were very welcoming.
