This tour gives you access to amazing underground archaeological sites that are not visited by the general public. Flavio was my tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. We went to Piazza Navona (underground), the Pantheon and Trevi (underground). I highly recommend this tour and Flavio.
It was an enjoyable tour to see both above and below Rome. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did her best to make it engaging for the group. We highly recommend. In fact, we got separated from the group in front of the Pantheon as there were swarms of people...however, upon calling the main help desk of the tour company, the tour lady was contacted and she was able to put aside the group and, fortunately enough, find us at the designated spot — and seamlessly continued the tour as if nothing happened. We are grateful for their kindness and ensuring we were able to still enjoy the tour despite the hiccup in being separated from the group.
This tour was very enjoyable and I would recommend to anyone. It was a nice combination of above and below ground sites, (mostly above) and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating for everyone with questions and other special requests. The audio system used was better than some of the others we have used on our trip and made it very easy to understand Alex's running commentary on all the sites.
It could have been more interesting in half the time. The guide repeated the same information and didn't seem knowledgeable.
Amazing via - Rosella was our guide with MEA and she was so smart and eloquent. Learned a ton on the trip and it was an easy pace walking wise.
This tour is advertised as underground Rome but we spent most of our time above ground - so thats a bit misleading. The guide was very knowledgeable but it was A LOT of the guide talking and not enough time for us to take pics and look at the many wonderful sights.
This was super interesting! Loved it! The tour guide was super knowledgeable and was very thorough in her explanations. I realized that Rome had a lot of history but had no idea to what extent of it was underground. Absolutely loved it and will 100 recommend it to anyone I know going to Rome in the future.
Very interesting, a must see if you have a few extra hours.
When you hear of Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona or Pantheon, you assume the current tourist spots but there's a lot more than meets the eye. This tour by MEA Tours and Travels is an eye-opener. The knowledgeable and passionate guide took us to spots some not even open to public but just to the group where you can view ruins of earlier structures over the newer ones.
