An excellent experience and worth paying that little extra to jump the que. We went in August when the weather was hot so taking a drink is recommended
Could have spent the whole day here. There is a lot to see. Lots to see in the museums and the art galleries. The sistine Chapel was smaller than expected and needs time to take it all in. Finally ending up in St Paul's basilica. We'll worth the money and the advance ticket saved a massive queue. If queueing go very early.
Sadly, there are just too many people in this museum for it to be a good experience. We literally shuffled along for hours and while the sights and exhibits were incredible, I'm not sure it was worth being herded like cattle from room to room. Also, it's super weird how there is this huge middle man market where you have to use a guide to get in instead of everything being owned by the Vatican itself. With a do-over, I would have scheduled this months ago through the official Vatican channel and then hopefully have had more flexibility to go through at our pace.
it was a great way to see the museum and sistine chapel, with a self-guided tour, though the day we went it doesn't appear that there was really much need for to skip the line. but still helped us get in in an efficient manner.
