Stop At: Canal Grande, 30100 Venice Italy

The main waterway that runs through Venice is the Grand Canal.

Precisely because it is the main artery of the network of canals and canals, large transport ships carrying all the goods with which Venice traded throughout the known world entered and stopped along its banks.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Piazza San Marco, 31024 Venice Italy

Elegant, precious, inimitable, fun, romantic: this is Venice, a gem of the Venetian and Italian tourist scene, where churches, palaces, ancient bridges, monuments and squares tell the artistic and cultural liveliness that marked and still marks the history of this city.

The heart of Venice is the splendid Piazza San Marco, the most elegant living room in Europe, surrounded by works of unquestionable value: the imposing bell tower and the Basilica with its five portals and the decorations of marble and mosaics that anticipate the magnificence and interior riches; the Palazzo Ducale, symbol of the golden age of the Serenissima;

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ponte dei Sospiri, Piazza San Marco, 1, 31024 Venice Italy

The Bridge of Sighs, located a short distance from the famous Piazza San Marco, is one of the most famous bridges in Venice, to the point that there are structures in the world that bear the same name. Built in Baroque style, and made of Istrian stone.

Duration: 35 minutes

Stop At: Basilica di San Marco, San Marco 328, 30124 Venice Italy

Initially the current Basilica of San Marco was just a small temple dedicated to San Teodoro, then in 820 the Venetians stole San Marco's remains from Alexandria and the rebuilding of the old temple began.

The Basilica is a Greek cross with a central dome; on each bay there are four hemispherical domes; in the thirteenth century on each dome small bulbous domes were built.

The interior was covered with gold mosaics.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Doge's Palace, Piazza San Marco, 1, 30124 Venice Italy

The Doge's Palace (Italian: Palazzo Ducale; Venetian: Pałaso Dogal) is a palace built in Venetian Gothic style, and one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice in northern Italy. The palace was the residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former Venetian Republic, opening as a museum in 1923. Today, it is one of the 11 museums run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

Beautiful! I think the guide has to stay longer with the group and tell more of the history and show all the most important places.

This was a great trip! We very much enjoyed the trip to Venice. It was extra special with our guide Rebecca. She was great at giving us information we needed making sure we knew where to be at what time, She was also great at giving info on Venice and she was a lot of fun to spend the train ride with her.

This was by far my favorite place so far while visiting Italy! We were able to stay with the guide or we could go out and sight see on our own with scheduled meeting points and times. I preferred this over listening to constant talking in my ear. Would highly suggest going with a guide the first time you visit!

My husband and I enjoyed this quick trip to Venice. We were able to take a Gondola ride for an additional fee, do a little shopping and visit the basilica.

This is a must for every traveler to Italy. I love this trip. We have a wonderful experience, and our tour guide was very proficient. I will highly recommend this to every American tourist to be part of their itineraries in Italy. Although it was a high speed train, it was not really going as fast as you expected it to be. Anyway, it was a fantastic experience except piazza areas and toilets are commercialized which American first time travelers would never expect it.

This tour was WAY overpriced for what you get. You do not get the skip the line like it says. You have to wait in line like everyone else and honestly, If I could do it again, I would have skipped seeing the cathedral all together. It's not worth waiting in line for. There was an older couple that couldn't keep up with the tour guide and even when being told and reminded time and time again our tour guide kept walking way to fast and leaving them behind. The only thing I liked about having a guide was being shown which train/boat to get on and off, times of departure/arrival and she did make renting the gondola easier. Other than that I feel we could have done this on our own and paid way less!! I also feel like doing it on our own we could have spent more time there and explored more. Venice is beautiful and the train ride is great!!! It was one of my favorite things to do and so worth it, but don't do it through this tour. Just buy train tickets, do some research and do it on your own. save yourself the money.
