About this activity
Your Experience

You will begin your 7-day tour at the designated meeting point. Each tour is an hour-long and involves walking about the attractions and exploring them - it’s as simple as that. You can cover as many as 10 tours in the 7 days that your pass is valid.

Your tour includes the Roma Pass, which avails you to skip the line Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palantine Hills tickets, apart from discounted rates on entry to other Roman attractions such as the Capitoline Museums or Borghese Gallery for up to 48 hours. In addition, the Roma Pass gives you free access to Rome’s metro and public bus services. Your tour begins with ancient Rome, where you will go through the magnificent Roman Forum and head on over to the Colosseum. You’ll learn about what life was really like at the focal point of one of the greatest empires in history.

Next up is Vatican City, famous for being the world’s smallest country. Home to the Pope and the seat of the Catholic Church, you’ll get a glimpse into the fascinating history of this religious state while strolling through the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Take a break and grab a bite to eat at the exquisite Campo dei Fiori market, where you can tuck into sumptuous Italian food. You’ll also learn about what makes Italian cuisine one of the best in the world and explore the different areas in the market where you can eat, learn what you can eat where and sample local delicacies as well.

If there’s one characteristic about Rome that stands out, it’s the cobbled streets that are laid out in the entirety of the city. You can explore the lovely piazzas at the center of Rome and stop by landmark sights along the way that includes the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

Your Roman Holiday would be incomplete without a visit to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The Silver Screen tour (as it is also known) takes you to two of Rome’s most cinematic attractions and details the legends, lores and history behind them. Don’t forget to make a wish by tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain before you go!

As dusk begins to settle over the city, it’s time to head to Trastevere, a neighborhood that comes alive by night. Take an evening stroll through this area that’s filled with beautiful squares, restaurants, bars and a delightful street-life that goes back several years! Don’t forget to check out some of the restaurants recommended by the guide, who will also educate you on the culture and history of the area.

Recommended for those who are brave of heart and mind, the Rome Ghost Tour delves into the darker bit of Rome’s history. You’ll get to see monuments erected in the name of heretics that were burned at the stake, creepy funerary art and even an ancient Roman murder mystery that continues to baffle people to this day.

‘Et tu, Brute?’ These were Julius Caesar’s famous last lines in Shakespeare’s iconic play about the titular, enigmatic Roman emperor. History buffs will love this tour that explores the life of one of the greatest and most well-known emperors of ancient Rome, including a visit to the site where he is believed to have been assassinated.

The Jewish Ghetto tour will enlighten you about one of the oldest European Jewish communities and how they influenced Roman history and culture while fighting terrible oppression. This tour is not entirely sombre, however, and includes delightful restaurant recommendations in the area.

No visit to Rome is complete without a stroll through two of the city’s most beautiful parks. You’ll get a semi-secret view of St. Peter’s Basilica, walk through an ancient racetrack and even linger in a tranquil orange grove in this rejuvenating walk through the parks.
