First up on Friday is your fast-track skip-the-long-public-line ticket into the Vatican Museums plus our self-guided Vatican Quest, which can be used at any time between opening and closing hours which are 9am thru 4pm (last entrance), closing at 6pm.
On Saturday morning we meet beneath the majesty of Trajan's Column before exploring the Roman Forum archaeological area. After time amongst ruined temples and the memories of fallen Emperors, we move on to the Colosseum and enter the amphitheatre through Gladiator's Gate which leads directly to the Colosseum Arena Floor. This is where gladiators were prepared to kill or be killed just a few metres above the dark dungeons and maze of passageways which were in effect the engine room of the massive structure. You will be perfectly placed to look down on this area and understand how captive animals and men became victims for the pleasure of their captors, the crowd, and the Emperor himself. Upon conclusion of this richly immersive Colosseum and ancient Rome experience, make your own way to Domus Aurea (The Golden House of Tyrant Emperor Nero) close nearby for a fully guided, VR-tech tour of this legendary Pleasure Palace!
