With 160 acres of vines surrounding 17th-century architecture and 3rd-century caverns lined with French oak barrels, this is a treasure to behold. Your guide will reveal the secrets of traditional winemaking used here from antiquity through to the modern day. They will explain how Imperial Rome became the cradle of wine culture. And you will also learn why the Nectar of the Gods went from being a status symbol of the elite to a pleasure enjoyed by all.

After enjoying the beauty of the vineyard and learning about the history of the area, we get to the really fun part. A guided tasting of Santa Benedetta’s specially selected wines complemented with freshly pressed olive oil and fresh oven-baked bread and other.

At the end, you will be able to head back to Rome full of the sights and tastes of the Italian countryside.

We very much enjoyed getting out of Rome for an afternoon to do a wine tasting tour. The gentleman with the Fascati Winery did an excellent job of discussing to us the growing of grapes in this region of Italy. We also got to sample 3 wines and see the cellar, too. The private pick-up, and drive out and back into Rome were very good. Further, we very much enjoyed the two visitors that we did our wine tour with. This was a good experience for us. Thank you.

This tour is outstanding! The vineyard is gorgeous, the wine is outstanding! We enjoyed several glasses of all three wines that the vineyard offered, and if that wasn't enough, their olive oil is to die for! Can't want to receive my shipment of vine and olive oil!

This was a great experience! The driver picked us up on time in front of our apartment and took us to the 300 year old winery. We had a private tour, just my husband and I. The grounds are beautiful and it was very interesting to hear about the history of this family run winery. The tasting was amazing! We were so surprised when he offered us the bottle to taste from...as much as we wanted! In Napa/Sonoma you only receive a small tasting of each wine. The wines were very good, as was the food pared with it ..bread with their home made olive oil, cheeses and jam, and some cookies to dip in your dessert wine! This tour was a nice way to spend a relaxing day in the middle of our sight-seeing vacation. We ended up buying 2 of the 3 wines, which they will ship to us. This tour was well worth the price, and we really enjoyed it! Highly recommend it to wine enthusiasts!
