Stop At: Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, 00187 Rome Italy

Your Christmas in Rome walking tour commences at the bottom of the Spanish Steps, the symbol of "La Dolce Vita" of Rome. Meet your guide and join your small group at the Barcaccia Fountain.

You will begin with the promenade through the high-end shopping district of Rome dressed up for Christmas. Stop at the most central location to admire the stunning Galleria Sordi and Piazza Colonna. Wander the winding streets to the Pantheon and then the Christmas market at Piazza Navona where you will experience the Christmas tradition and taste a slice of Panettone with hot chocolate. Your guide will give you ample time to take photos, soak up the atmosphere and shop at local Christmas shops.

Last stop of the tour is the Vatican City, where you will see the world-famous Christmas tree and Nativity Scene of Saint Peter's Square.

The guide and the tour had totally exceeded all my expectations!The meeting point (Spanish Steps) was really crowded, but I was able to find the guide pretty quickly because he was holding a large sign. Right from the start, I knew it was going to be a great experience, because the guide was really friendly and our group was small. What I loved about the tour is that there was a constant interaction between the group members and the guide, there was no question that the guide couldn't answer, and I left the tour feeling a bit overwhelmed, but knowing so much more about Rome. The stories were very interesting and the delivery really easy and smooth. We had enough time to do a couple of extra places, not included in the itinerary, and it was just great and very unusual, because on other tours, with large groups, we were just herded like cattle without a possibility to soak it in or even ask questions. Wonderful experience that I strongly recommend to anyone traveling to Rome for Christmas!
