About this activity
We'll depart from Rotorua and your journey will be way more comfortable in our air conditioning mini van.Travelling through a stunning part of New Zealand, we first head to the hobbiton Movie set on the outskirts of Matamata.
44 hobbit holes line the hillside, with Bilbo's famous Bag End home being an obvious highlight. Relieve your favourite movie moments as you dance around the party tree and walk down Bagshot Row.The Shires rest cafe offers additional sustenance to hungry hobbits and the Green Dragon Inn is just a stone's throw away.
Once we've had our fill of fantasy we'll set our course for Waitomo to admire the sensational natural wonders found within their caves.
Glow worm adorn the cave ceilings with a magical glow. The cave formations are incredible and seem somewhat unreal while all the time being completely natural.
Once you are ready we will head back to Rotorua where our friendly guide will drop you back at your inner city accommodation.
All up the tour will take about 10 hours but the memories will last all your lifetime.
