Arctic Circle Wilderness Hike and Fish Smoking

Experience the beautiful Lappish nature and learn some basic outdoor skills. With a hike through the Arctic Circle Wilderness Area you will have the opportunity to get closer to nature and learn about the wildlife in the Arctic. The distance of the hike is 3-4 km. We will reach a small secluded area in the wilderness where we have set up a small camp - our Forest Lounge. Here you can cross the Arctic Circle and experience the wilderness of Lapland just outside Rovaniemi!

The guide we will prepare a campfire where you will learn some basic outdoor fire making skills. We set up a barbeque smoker and prepare a delicious smoked fish snack with a unique taste and flavour given by the smoking process. Depending on the weather the smoking may be changed to grilling on the open fire.

Tour duration is 3 hours including transfers from Rovaniemi centre and approximately 2 hours at the location. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing including footwear. A rain jacket may be needed depending on the weather forecast.
