Snowmobile Safari and Ice Fishing Experience from Rovaniemi

About this activity
Your tour starts with a pickup from centrally located Rovaniemi hotels. There will be a longer break while you reach the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, a traditional lumberjack house nestled by the River Raudanjoki. Delicious hot soup lunch will be prepared and enjoyed by campfire to fill you up.
After lunch, you'll have a chance to rest before you're off to try your luck at ice fishing. Your guide will give you the equipment and after a little walk on the icy river, you will learn how to drill a hole and set your fishing hook.
Snowmobile safari will then continue after the break. There are hundreds of kilometers of wilderness trails to choose from and your guide will decide the best possible direction based on your riding skills and weather conditions.
En route you will cross a traditional reindeer roundabout, wooden fences in the deep wilderness, where during the autumn the masses of reindeer are gathered.
The second break in the forest camp will give you a chance to re-energize with warm drinks and sausages grilled on the fire and soon after that it is time to set off on the return journey back to Rovaniemi.

- Most of the safaris include a transfer from your accommodation. The departure point and pick up time will be announced a reasonable time before the travel date.
- The prices include all described activities, services and equipment. You will also receive a thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, a scarf and helmets, unless mentioned otherwise
- Each tour starts with the safety brief and driving instructions from guide.
- All snowmobiles are insured, but the maximum amount of liability for damage caused to the snowmobile is €900. By purchasing additional self liability waiver for €30, you can reduce your maximum self liability to €150.
