Lapland Reindeer Sleigh Ride to Santa Claus Village from Rovaniemi

Dress warmly and make your own way to the meeting point in central Rovaniemi. Board a minivan with your guide and get your trip to visit Santa in Lapland underway with a drive through the snowy countryside to a reindeer farm.

When you arrive, meet the friendly herders and their beautiful reindeer. Hear how these hardy Lapland animals have evolved to survive the harsh winters; developing sharp and wide hooves that slice through the snow and narrow antlers that fit between closely packed trees.

Settle into your sleigh and enjoy a magical ride along forest trails to Santa Claus Village. As you travel, soak up the sparkling white scenery — it’s like riding through a Christmas card. You’ll also receive a special reindeer driver's license certificate to commemorate your trip.

After roughly 30 minutes, arrive at Santa Claus Village and say goodbye to the herders and reindeers. Then, head inside this magical world of fairylit log cabins, shops and restaurants, and revel in the festive atmosphere.

Peruse the shops for Christmas goodies and Lapland treats, and send a postcard from Santa’s post office — it will arrive complete with a Santa Claus postmark. After around 1.5 hours, enjoy a scenic drive back to Rovaniemi, where your experience finishes with a drop-off at the original start point.
