Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco

Pass By: Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport, Avenida Velasco Astete, Cusco 08006, Peru
Reception at the Airport and transfer to the hotel.

Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the altitude (Cusco is 3,395 meters above sea level)

Day 2: Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
This day will be the highlight of our trip, we will visit the citadel of Machu Picchu. Very early we will depart from Ollanta train station towards the majestic city of Aguas Calientes, the travel time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Arrival to Aguas Calientes town, from here we will board the buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. The tour will be 2 hours and 30 minutes and the visit includes the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the Palace of the Incas, the Three Windows, etc. At the end of it we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to go shopping .

At a scheduled time, transfer to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Cusco (only driver).

Day 3: Cusco – Laguna Humantay - Cusco

Stop At: Humantay Lake, Cusco 08001 Peru
Pick up between 04:30 AM and 05:00 AM at the hotel and then travel for 2 hours. Arrive at the town of Mollepata where we will have our delicious breakfast. We will continue travelling to Soraypampa for 1 hour. Once we arrive at Soraypampa, we will appreciate the beautiful view of the imposing snowy peaks of Salkantay (6,230 masl) and Humantay (5250 masl). Then we will start our walk to the Lagoon for a lapse of 1 hour and 30 minutes for a distance of 3 km. Hiking to the lagoon is a little steep, however our small-group takes the time to enjoy the views and reach the Lagoon without pressure. After enjoying the view of the lake there is an option to walk to the left or right side of the lake to appreciate a panoramic view. Next we have the easy part of our walk, we have to descend to Soraypampa for a time of 1 hour. After that, we will travel back to Mollepata where a buffet lunch awaits us. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco arriving between 05:30 PM and 06:00 PM.

Day 4: Cusco

Pass By: Cusco Cathedral, Portal Belen Plaza de Armas, Cusco 08002 Peru

Day 5: Cusco – Vinicunca Mountain – Cusco

Stop At: Cerro Colorado Vinicunca, Apv- Tipon-n11, Cusco 08003 Peru
We will pick you up at your hotel between 03:30 and 04:00 AM and go along the highway of the south road to the city of Puno. The trip in the vehicle lasts 3 hours. It crosses through small towns like Checacupe, Pitumarka, Japurá, where you will have an initial talk with the tour guide. After a short time, get ready and take your food according to the program. The final destination of the car is Quesiuno (4100 masl), where the hike climb of 7.5 km takes place (Duration 4 hours). Towards the Vinicunca mountain (5020 masl) at the end of the Trek, you will enjoy the views of the 7 colors mountain "Vinicunca", surroundings and the imposing Ausangate Apu. After a brief time, you will start the descent (3 hours) along the same path, suitable for a lunch stop and continue to the starting point Quesiuno. Shorlty after, we will return to the transport (3 hours) to the city of Cusco to your respective hotel. 07:00 PM. The final stop will be the parade ground in front of the Cathedral. (Box breakfast, L)
