The starting time for visiting Huayna Picchu has two turns:
1. From 07:00am to 08:00am or
2. From 10.00am to 11.00am; according to availability.
The Incas built a trail up the side of the Huayna Picchu and built temples and terraces on its top. The peak of Huayna Picchu is 2,693 meters (8,835 ft) above sea level, or about 260 meters (850 ft) higher than Machu Picchu.

- Difficulty: moderate to challenging
- This trek is not for people with a fear of heights. In places the trail is very steep and often follows the mountain edge with sheer drop offs.
- It is recommended to wear sport clothes, no high-heeled shoes

- Please Note: Once you purchase this admission ticket you will receive a confirmation voucher from Viator. This voucher document is not valid to enter to Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu. We arranged for 2 packages, a 7am entrance to climb HP and then a 10am tour of MP. First, Viajes Pacifico advised us to do the 7am climb and we are so glad they did! We were able to be the first up on the mountain and get down in time for a 10am tour, all before the hoards of tourists arrived. Second, Marco with was our guide. He was excellent. He helped with photos, gave us in depth understanding of MP, spoke excellent English and went above and beyond in customer service. Third, Viajes Pacifico and Marco went above and beyond in customer service. Marco met us at the train station, took us to our hotel, provided us with bus and entrance tickets and advised us on what to do to climb the mountain and where to meet him after for our tour. All very easy to understand and coordinate. Without any reservation I recommend Marco and Viajes Pacifico.
Only a limited of hikers allowed each day so tickets need to be bought ahead of time.. I was glad I was able to buy the tickets on Viator.com A website I trust.
Incredible day. Machu Picchu had been on the bucket list for a while and it did not disappoint. The hike up Huayna Picchu, is tough, but totally worth it. The views you get over Machu Picchu are breathtaking. I cannot recommend this enough.
