Bike Tour in Abra Malaga from Ollantaytambo

The tour starts from our main office which is located in Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting with all equipment and bicycles loaded to start to rise for approximately 1 hour to a height of 4350 meters. Our destination is Abra Malaga. Here we will park the car for everyone to get off the car and start enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains. Acclimatize a bit and then start the downhill biking.

The route starts from this point, the guide will deliver all of the safety equipment and bicycles and give short and clear explanation, revealing and explaining the route on the route of the following hours.

This route is very interesting because you go through small towns with local people who still maintain their customs and traditional costumes of the area. All this is really beside the route. On a good day you can see llamas and alpacas on the road with the different views of the canyons and small waterfalls that are in the path of downhill.

During the decline we appreciate also large terraces of Inca agriculture and small barns in the middle of the mountains. The Incas used this area to grow their products.

This route is easy because it’s all downhill, mild and lasts about 1:30 to 2 hours of downhill biking with stops at strategic points to take pictures of different views reaching Piri where we stop and load the bikes to return Ollantaytambo.
