Day 1: Cusco - Km104 - Wiñay Wayna - Aguas Calientes.

Stop At: Winay Wayna, Machu Picchu Peru
Our short version of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu begins at your hotel, where you will be picked up around 4:00 am. From your hotel, you will travel from 1 to 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo, where we will take the Expedition Train to our starting point called KM 104 "Chachabamba".

At the point of departure, you must show your Ticket for the Inca route, your original passport and your ISIC card if you have one. Here begins the Inca Trail and we will start the trek from 3.5 to 4 hours to Wiñayhuayna, where we will enjoy a nice lunch. The hike to Wiñayhuayna is a beautiful walk, where we can enjoy the incredible flora and the landscape that surrounds us.

After lunch, we will walk another two hours to Intipunku "Puerta del Sol", from where we will have excellent views of Machu Picchu and all the surrounding mountains. Here we will have about 20 min. to rest. Then we will hike to the "Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu. Here ends the Inca trail and we will enter the wonder of Machu Picchu.

Finally we take a bus to Aguas Calientes and we will transfer to your hotel.

We will arrive at 5 pm in the afternoon and enjoy a good dinner. After dinner, we will settle for the night.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco.

Stop At: Machu Picchu, 08680, Peru
On this last day we will have breakfast at 5:00 and go to our bus at Aguas Calientes station. We will take a bus to the city of Machu Picchu Inca. To enter you must also show your passport, the entry ticket and the ISIC card if you have one. Then your guide will show you the surroundings of Machu Picchu and the different important sites, ruins and temples of the site between 8:00 and 10:00. After the tour you will have some free time to explore the city on your own, its many different paths and its beautiful surroundings.

After having enjoyed the magnificent city of the Incas, you will use your bus ticket to go down to Aguas Calientes and then take the train back to Cusco through Ollantaytambo. The "Expedition Train" leaves at 2:30 in the afternoon and arrives in Ollantaytambo after 2 hours. In Ollantaytambo there will be a bus waiting for you to take you to Cusco. Here your trip will end around 6:30 at night.

It is optional for you to change the train so that you can go to Cusco sooner or later.
