About this activity
Your tour begins at 2:30pm when you meet your guide at the Saint John City Market. Your first stop is at North Market Seafood, one of Saint John's oldest fish merchants, to sample three varieties of smoked salmon.

A short 5 minute walk brings you to Quality block, a new hub in Saint John where you will want to spend more time, and to Port City Royal for an artisan cocktail and a gourmet vegetable spread. This restaurant highlights the seasonality of ingredients and also a love for the outdoors by including foraged items in their offering.

At your third stop, you will be exposed to Saint John's illustrious art scene at BMG art gallery and learn about the various pieces from owner, and local artist, Shannon. You will have a few minutes to peruse the gallery while sampling a local cider.

Around the corner is your fourth stop, Big Tide Brewing. Here, you will meet with one of their brewers who will share their story while you enjoy four 5oz samples of craft beer and warm kettle chips. Big Tide is one of the province's oldest brew pubs, and still only sells their beer at the pub.

Across the street to your last stop is one of the best-hidden gems in the city, Happinez, Atlantic Canada's first wine bar. Here we meet with owner, Peter Smit, and enjoy a final flight of 3 wines along with some local cheese and charcuterie. A delicious end to a tasty tour.

Throughout your tour, your guide will introduce you to the people, culture and history of Saint John, New Brunswick by sharing stories and highlighting interesting facts.
