We will start our Architectural Rioja Tour from Bilbao with a guided visit of the Marques de Riscal winery designed by one of todays leading architects, Franck Gehry. (Also famed for the Guggeheim museum in Bilbao).
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Laguardia, Laguardia, Province of Alava, Basque Country
We will head to Laguardia for a walk through the beautiful walled, medieval city of LaGuardia, with its underground cellars and wineries. We will have a glass of wine and a small Pintxo (Basque tapa) in an underground cellar dating from the XVI century.

You will enjoy a simple (but delicious) three course Riojano lunch with wine

Our last winery visit would be to the Ysios cellar designed by Santiago Calatrava. The structure boasts many architectural features, for example, the roof aims to simulate te Sierra Cantabria (the mountain range that importantly helps to create the Rioja micro climate).
You will have a tutored tasting where you will taste two of their remarkable wines with an aperitif (normally Iberian ham).
