Stop At: Jungle Prada de Navarez Park, Park St. N & Elbow Lane N., St. Petersburg, FL 33710

Visitors will participate in a guided tour of the best-preserved American Indian site in Tampa Bay at the Jungle Prada Site and Anderson/Narvaez Tocobaga Indian Mound. Family-owned since 1940, this hidden oasis features a beautiful Florida-friendly garden full of native plants that were used by the Tocobaga including coontie, yaupon holly, sea grapes, buttonwood, muscadine grapes, and many more. Over 50 free roaming peacocks call these gardens home. The Jungle Prada site is also thought to be the landing site of Spanish conquistadors Panfilo de Narvaez and Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca. Guests learn the amazing true story of Cabeza de Vaca, who journeyed from Florida all the way to the Pacific Ocean between 1528 and 1536.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
