About this activity

On day 1 our meeting time at the port straight behind the passport control is at 9 a.m. You'll need to go ashore, pass the passport control and join your group by that time.
Your introduction to St. Petersburg starts with a city tour by car, you will have stops for taking pictures and short walks in the most picturesque and famous venues. A stroll on Nevsky Avenue and down one of the central pedestrian streets will help you to feel the vibe of the city. Upon your wish you can peek into one of the famous central grocery stores.
11 a.m. - time to visit the "big whale" of this day - the Hermitage museum. Provided the Hermitage ranks among the top world's largest museums, one cannot possibly see all the exhibits. Our guide will choose the best of the best for you. You will see the Winter Palace, Small, Old and New Hermitages, collections of Old Masters as well as Romanov-tsars reception halls and state rooms.
1 p.m. - Palace Square walk, followed by a stop for lunch/snack/coffee-break in one of the local coffee-shops.
2 p.m. - visit the General Staff building of the Hermitage with a tour of Impressionists and Postimpressionists collections.
3 p.m. - last but not least for the day - an inside visit to Church on the Blood, world's largest museum of mosaics.
By 4 p.m. - return on board the ship
Day 2 will start with outside the city tour. At 9 a.m. you will meet your guide and the group at the port and then drive outside the city to Peterhof - the most famous summer country-side residence of the Russian tsars.
10 a.m.- 10:30 - tour of the Upper Peterhof gardens
10:30 - 11:30 - tour of the Grand Peterhof Palace (a stunning masterpiece of architecture with no repeating rooms inside)
11:30 - 1 p.m. - tour of the Lower Peterhof gardens where the most famous fountains and cascades are located.
Time for lunch/snack/coffee-break is offered on the grounds of the gardens with picturesque views.
2:30-3:30 - river and canal boat ride is a gem of this 2-day itinerary and a highlight of your St. Petersburg visit. The tour is privately for your group - separate boat.
4 p.m. - return on board the cruise ship.
