Day 1: Day 1: splendid suburbs of St. Petersburg
Stop At: Park And Gardens of Peterhof, Razvodnaya st., 2, Peterhof, St. Petersburg Russia
You will enjoy numerous fountains, cascades, pavilions and sculptures. The fantastic view of the Gulf of Finland will add even more charm to the walk.

Stop At: Monplaisir Historical Palace Museum, Nizhniy Park, 4, Peterhof, St. Petersburg 198510 Russia
It’s a unique palace which saved the atmosphere and the design from the time of Peter the Grate. It reflects private taste of Peter the Great and It’s very much different from all other palaces you will see in Russia.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Catherine Palace and Park, Sadovaya St., 7 Tsarskoye Selo, Pushkin, St. Petersburg 196601 Russia
You will walk through a magnificent gallery of gilded rooms where balls, receptions, and official dinners took place to the famous Amber room. It’s a room , where the whole surface of the walls is covered with natural amber. This interior is unique - nowhere in the world one can see anything like that. After visiting the Palace you will walk around the beautiful gardens.

Day 2: Day 2: Heart of the City
Stop At: The State Hermitage Museum, Palace Square, 2, St. Petersburg 191055 Russia
You will enter the museum before the official opening (early admission) to avoid the crowd. During the tour you will walk through the 4 buildings of the 5 joint in one complex. You will enjoy luxuries rooms and see the most famous masterpieces.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Savior on the Spilled Blood, Griboyedova Kanala Emb., 2B/A, St. Petersburg 191186 Russia
You will see a fantastic cathedral designed in an old Russian stile. The interior is unique: mosaics cover almost all the surface of the walls and ceilings. The cathedral was built as a memorial church in the place where the Russian Tsar Alexander II was assassinated hence it’s name - the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood, or just the Spilled Blood Church.
Duration: 5 hours
Stop At: Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg Russia
You will walk along the main street of the city and enjoy fantastic architecture and unique atmosphere of the street. You also will enjoy one hour boat ride along our rivers and canals.
Duration: 30 minutes

This tour was taken through Best Guides during our stopover in St. Petersburg. Well, have to admit was afraid of the unkown, since had not done this one before and with a country, which requires a visa. If you take an organized tour through either your ship or a private tour company this helps in not getting the paperwork done for a visa. I was scared, but it all worked out through a private tour company. You just keep the paperwork with you they send you to present at immigration control with along your passport. Keep the same paperwork even for the 2nd day, this is like your visa. Best Guides were excellent! Our guide Irina met us as instructed in the large hall after passport control. We saw so many things! It can be exhausting, but well worth it! Unfortunately, we did not make it to the folk dance show, because it would mean we would have been out all day until around 9-10pm. But others may have better fortitude. It was almost like a private tour, because there were only 4 others in our group. They used a nice Mercedes Sprinter and supplied bottled water along with 2 excellent lunches. We saw Peterhoff utilizing a hydrofoil to get there, the 2nd day was the Hermitage, Church of Spilled Blood, Canal Tour and a chance to check out a metro station. Only regret was not seeing the Faberge Egg collection, but another time. Our driver Anatole was very helpful in getting my husband's phone connected to their wifi in the van and since I'm kinda short.. He even got a stool to help me get in and out of the van. So I highly recommend this tour company and my fears were allayed.
From start to finish this company provided myself and friend with the most memorable two days in this fabulous city and with any luck your tour will be around 6 and could end up like us on the second day with us, guide, and driver. They are a patient company also because disembarkation in Russia is not easy and we were going to be late leaving the ship. I texted the company and they said they knew this might happen and not to worry and someone would be a port when we got off. Well there was and we were transported to a parking lot to meet the van containing 2 more couples. The tour was fantastic, well thought out, at a pace suitable for the six of us and the guide was knowledgeable, polite, conversed with us to make sure all was well. We saw so much the first day it was hard to believe. Second day we had the same guide and different driver and again everything went smoothly, not to forget the great lunches we had both days in two different restaurants. The drivers on both days need to be commended for the driving skills that provided us with a safe environment while touring the different areas of the city. If touring in a small group with a good tour guide and driver is what you are looking for, I would recommend taking a look at what this company offers when planning a visit to St. Petersburg and definitely ask for the canal cruise which brings the city into perspective.
good value, but way too much walking, especially for older folks. The day started at 8:30 am and ended at 10:30 pm, much too long for older folks. Verry knowledgeable guide. Great sights.
