Start your tour with a local guide picking you up from your centrally located hotel. Drive by taxi or walk to the museum. The Hermitage is vast, there is so much art work you could get lost for days. The interior decorations are a sight to behold. Maria our tour guide was amazing! She got us into the museum in a timely manner, had great English skills, was incredibly knowledgeable about the art and honestly we would not want to do the tour any other way.
