Day 1:

8 30 am Your private fully licensed guide and professional driver of a comfortable air conditioned vehicle will greet you at passport immigration control next to your ship. You will be taken for a CITY OVERVIEW TOUR. You will be able to see and take pictures of the most famous and beautiful sights of St. Petersburg center, get acquainted with the history of the city and the Romanov family.

Enjoy a short metro trip while on your way to Pushkin you will have a chance to see the "not so touristy" St. Petersburg. Then set off for a JOURNEY TO PUSHKIN (TZARSKOE SELO) - one of St. Petersburg's suburbs within an hour drive from the city center. You will visit former Tsars' summer residence - Catherine's Palace including the famous Amber Room - the 8th "wonder" of the World and Catherine's Park. Have a break for a traditional Russian lunch (Included).

PETERHOF TOUR - Another summer residence of Russian emperors. You will see the Upper Garden which resembles Versailles in its planning and, of course, the Lower Park with its incomparable Fountains.

HYDROFOIL RIDE to St Petersburg.

FABERGE MUSEUM visit. This very exclusive museum introduces the world famous Faberge collection in the impressive historical interiors of the Shuvalov Palace.

5:30 pm Return to the ship.

Day 2:

8 am Your private fully licensed guide and professional driver of a comfortable air conditioned vehicle will greet you at passport immigration control next to your ship.

PRIVATE CANAL CRUISE along rivers and canals of the "Venice of the North".

Enjoy the beauty of SAVIOR ON THE SPILT BLOOD CATHEDRAL, which startles visitors with its mighty size, multicoloured "onion" domes, magnitude of its décor. The interior has the largest surface in the world covered with mosaics created to depict religious subjects. Have free time to have lunch in one of the local cafes (own expense).

Visit the HERMITAGE MUSEUM – Includes the 4 buildings of this ensemble: the Winter Palace, the small Hermitage, the New Hermitage, and the Old Hermitage. Enjoy art collections with over three million works of art, the spectacular state and private rooms.

ST. ISAAC'S CATHEDRAL TOUR The dome is gilded with 100 kilograms of gold. St. Isaac's is ranked as number one in the world for the richness of its interior decoration.

5 00 pm Return to your ship.

The tour was fine. You certainly want to use a tour company to see the sights in and around St Petersburg because the lines for individual travelers are insane. What made this company exceptional was the tour operator herself. Somehow, she managed to get us past the lines even the tour companies had to stand in. And, when she heard my luggage had been utterly lost by the airlines, she called them, managed to track it down and get it delivered to St. Petersburg. She even accompanied me to the airport to facilitate reclaiming it. Truly above and beyond what I could have ever expected.
