About this activity
Tour will begin at your hotel where you will be met by the guide. On a comfortable car you make a sightseeing tour around the city with visit of historically significant places of SPb with obligatory stops for a photo. Nevsky prospect-the main street of St. Petersburg, grew along with the city. It stretches from the Admiralty building to the place where the relics of the most revered saint in St. Petersburg Alexander Nevsky are kept. Exactly in the place where prince Alexander Nevsky defeated Swedish troops the first monastery of St. Petersburg Alexander Nevsky Lavra was built.

The city is obliged to Peter's daughter Elizabeth Petrovna by buildings in style of baroque the Smolny Convent and the Winter Palace on Neva Embankment. The Peter and Paul fortress place which the emperor Peter chose for a laying of the city not only an example of architecture, but also a tomb of all Russian emperors. In fortress there is "the Russian Bastille" - the Russia's first political prison. St. Isaac's Cathedral, standing by the sizes and furniture in the same row with such cathedrals as St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome and Paul's Cathedral in London will strike you with the greatness. Near it the symbol of an era of Ekaterina the Great- The Bronze Horseman is located. Unique mosaics in the Church of the Savior on Blood constructed on a place of attempt at the emperor Alexander have no analogues in the world. Survey round Iincludes excursions in the Peter and Paul fortress, cathedral and prison and,as a compliment from our company,-visit to famous Cathedral of our Ledy of Kasan. It was modelled by Andrey Voronikhin after the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome .After Napoleon invaded Russia in 1812 the commander-in-chief Mikhail Kutuzov asked Our Lady of Kazan for help in this church ! After the Patriotic War was over, the cathedral was perceived primarily as a memorial to the Russian victory against Napoleon. Kutuzov himself was interred in the cathedral in 1813.
