About this activity
Your private, fully licensed guide and professional driver will meet you at your St. Petersburg hotel or near St. Petersburg cruise port.
Settle into your air-conditioned vehicle and set off on a city tour to visit St. Petersburg’s most magical and mysterious places, and soak up the Russian winter fairy tale atmosphere.
Take photos of the city’s most famous, snow-frosted sights and icy canals and rivers, and if it's during the festive season, admire the Christmas decorations.
At around midday, stop to enjoy a traditional Russian lunch (own expense), and then travel into the suburbs to Pavlovsk to visit the Pavlovsk Palace and Park. This classical, late 18th-century palace was constructed 16.7 miles (27 kilometers) from the city as a summer residence for Tsar Paul I and his family, and is one of the few royal houses that still retain the cozy and personal atmosphere of its one-time imperial residents.
Framing the palace is the beautiful, 1,482-acre (600-hectare) Pavlovsk Park. One of Europe’s largest parks and considered a perfect example of romantic, early 19th-century landscaping, it more than deserves its description as ‘music for the eyes.’
Your trip finishes with a drop-off at your hotel or the cruise port.
