Your journey starts with your private licensed tour guide meeting you in the arrival hall of the passengers terminal. The guide will be standing right after passport control holding a sign with your name on it. After warm welcome, you will be taken to your comfortable business class car and the tour will begin. In the car you will discuss your day’s itinerary and may ask your guide any questions you have.

8:40-9:00 Meet your guide and driver in cruise ship terminal (direct pier pick-up)

Stop At: Peter and Paul Fortress, Petropavlovskaya Fortress, 3, St. Petersburg 197022 Russia

9:00-10:30 City Highlights drive tour with fotostops in the most beautiful places & short walk inside Peter & Paul Fortress which originally served as a base for the city garrison and officially was the first structure in St. Petersburg built by Peter the Great - founder of the city.

Stop At: The State Hermitage Museum, Palace Square, 2, St. Petersburg 191055 Russia

10:40-12:50 Guided tour of the Hermitage Museum housed within the opulent Winter Palace of tsars and tsarinas. It is an absolute must-see for every art lover and those simply interested in an overview of the world history through the arts.

13:00-13:45 Lunch Break in a local cafe

Stop At: Catherine Palace and Park, Sadovaya St., 7 Tsarskoye Selo, Pushkin, St. Petersburg 196601 Russia

13:50-14:30 A scenic drive through St Petersburg to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) or “Tsar’s Village,” home of the Catherine Palace with Amber Room.

Upon arrival, follow the Great Staircase to the lush staterooms on the first floor, where the interior’s baroque and neoclassical brilliance shine. Admire the opulence of the Great Hall, lined with mirrors, gilded carvings and 12 glittering chandeliers. Pause to take in the Amber Room, once described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World” for the shining amber panels lining its walls. Later, there will be time to stroll the gardens, totaling 1,400 acres of manicured grounds with a tranquil lake at its center. As you explore, you’ll see the impressive Hermitage Pavilion, which provided a private place for royalty to dine with guests and visiting diplomats.

16:50-17:50 Drive back to St Petersburg with subway ride OR using bypass road.

  • Please let us know if you need a car seat/booster seat. This tour is free for infants. You do not need to book a seat for your baby (under 5 years old)
  • Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
  • Metro ride is possible only if time permits. Another option is that the drive back to the port may happen along the newly opened bypass "Circle Road" to save time and skip city center area. In this case, you will not visit metro.
  • The visit to the Hermitage does not include the collection of impressionists and post-impressionists which is located in the new General Staff Building.
  • Whenever possible, special "early admission" entrance tickets to the Hermitage will be ordered to avoid crowds. Although it may happen that there will be many other people entering the museum at the same time with you.

  • This is a sample itinerary. The order of museum visits (park and palace) may change depending on availability of entrance tickets, museum's days-off, traffic situation in the city. Catherine Palace also reserve the right to shift an entrance time on a very short notice. Supplier will rearrange the itinerary accordingly so that all venues can be visited.
  • Although tickets are pre-booked with skip-the-line entrance there may still be a slight delay (10-15 minutes) in entering the museums during busy periods (May-August). It is possible that there will be a line of people entering the museums at the same time.
