A company representative or a driver will meet you at the port terminal or the hotel lobby. You will be taken to the Palace Embankment to attend a performance at the Hermitage Ballet theatre, which is one of the best Chamber Ballets in Russia. The artistic director is Lev Bruskin, a classmate of Mikhail Baryshnikov. The members of the Corps de Ballet are all graduates from the world famous Vaganova School and they have performed all over USA, UK, Western and Eastern Europe.
The stage of this theatre is distinguished by a special beauty, graceful decorations, and a unique historical tie to the Imperial past of the Hermitage that hosted performances attended by Catherine the Great. The music of great composers, the high level of acting and sincere welcome that greets every patron make every visit to the theater a special event. The Swan Lake performance survived for more than a century without any significant changes since Maruis Petipa’s times and nowadays is being staged in more than 290 theatres all over the world. Undoubtedly, ballet is a form of art, which can be understood by everybody, no matter where you are from and which language you speak.
When the performance is over, you will be met by the driver and safely taken back to the cruise ship/hotel. On your way back, you will witness the spectacular views of the city’s night lights and illumination.
