The Museum of Optics is the first interactive museum on the basis of St. Petersburg State University. Inside there are 11 rooms, some of them tell about the history of optics, the present technologies and the future perspectives, others introduce optical phenomena: for example you can "freeze" your shadows or paint in color, feel yourself Leonardo da Vinci, control particles in space and even fly a little. Optoblocks Faberge masterpieces and holograms, a unique collection of glass (the Abbe catalog) allow you to imagine yourself in the place of the heroes of science fiction films and learn how optical technologies work in the most diverse spheres.
