Hot Air Balloon Flight over the Colombian Coffee Region

About this activity
Begin with 5:30am pickup at your hotel in Salento, Armenia, or Pereira, then transfer to a shared vehicle to the balloon launch site, where you’ll warm up with a cup of hot, local coffee, and have the chance to participate in the inflation process.
When the balloon’s ready to go, lift off above the rolling terrain, and keep your camera ready to capture views of the scenic landscape. This is the heart of Colombia’s “Coffee Cultural Landscape,” a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site that includes hillside coffee fields, picturesque villages, and mountain peaks. Snap photos of coffee plantations from above, and panoramic views across the Andes Mountains.
Enjoy an adventure that’s different every time: hot air balloons have no steering wheel, and they drift with the wind, so a chase team will meet you when you touch down after the flight. At the end of the hot air balloon flight, you’ll receive a flight certificate from the pilot, then meet a driver for the return trip to your hotel.

- Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability
- The flight depends on meteorological conditions. Passengers who weigh over 75 kg (165 lbs) must consult before booking. The flight is only for 4 persons plus the pilot. Pregnant women and children under 5 years old are not allowed to fly
- Bring sunblock, a baseball cap to protect yourself from the heat that’s emitted, comfortable clothes and shoes (preferably tennis shoes)
- Passport name, number, expiration date, and country is required at time of booking for all participants
- Travel insurance is available at customer's expense
