Classical Salzburg city tour in English for groups

See Mozart's Residence, the Trinity Church, the State Theater and walk along the Salzach river. Learn about the "white gold" and how it influenced the development of Salzburg. In the historical city center, you will walk along the shopping street “Getreidegasse”. Here you will find beautiful wrought iron signs, arts and craft shops between famous name brands as well as the birthplace of Mozart. Continue the tour to the farmers market at the University square. Do not hesitate to try delicious local cheese, sausages, fruits and pretzels with some local beer or fresh water. Afterwards, you will go to the Residence Square with its big famous fountain. See the Old Residence and the New Residence and visit the Cathedral of Salzburg, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was baptized.

At the end of the tour, take the funicular up to the top of the fortress Hohensalzburg and enjoy stunning views of Salzburg. From this over 900-year-old fortress you can even see the Northern Limestone Alps and - on a very clear day - the Eagles Nest in the far distance.
