About this activity

For more than ten years, the Salzburg Foundation financed the creation of a high-profile sculpture path in the city. For this project 12 artists, such as Amseln Kiefer, Stephan Balkenhol, Anthony Cragg, Jaume Plensa and Erwin Wurm, created extraordinary art works for public spaces in Salzburg. Discover unique sculptures and installations in public spaces as well as their meanings with this walking tour!

Anthony Cragg’s Mozart sculpture at the market square, Erwin Wurm’s human-sized cucumbers or Brigitte Kowanz’s light installation at the State Bridge: Salzburg has plenty of modern art to offer. Also the art work by Stefan Balkenhol fascinates: The human wooden figure so small on the large golden ball. The humans so mall in front of the fortress Hohensalzburg.

Experience Salzburg from a different perspective and see art against the backdrop of tradition and historical elements. Let yourself be surprised by the diversity of the city and look forward to interesting impulses and exciting discussions.
