River kayak wildlife and mangrove observation

Getting pick up by your tour guide at your hotel front door, you will start a 20 to 25 minutes journey to the Ora River where a whole diferent species of wild life awaits you.

During your journey you will get to know your tour guide, as he explain about the areas, you are passing by such a neighborhoods of Samara and Carrillo beach, awarded one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, soon we leave the pavement to get in to the well known dirt roads of Costa Rica, crossing the Ora bridge you get to see Ora River bellow.

We have arrived to the river, and while you apply sun cream and get your camera, binoculars, and all you need ready for the tour, your tour guide and driver will set the kayaks for the tour, before starting, we will also provite very detailed instruction about ridding the kayaks and what to expect during the tour.

After paddling down the river and explorin the wildlife and mangrove for about 1 to 1 hour and a half, we will arrive to the Ora River mouth and land on Camaronal beach, well known for his beautifull black sand and a habitat for thousand of turtles that come through out the year for nesting during the night.

Even tho turtles only come out at night to lay there eggs, you will have a chance to walk on the beach explore and look for turtle the traces or the eggshells from babies that has already hatch, after we will enjoy some fresh fruits, ones we are done with the fruits and and have rested, it is time to head back on the kayaks paddling back up to the place we started the tour and have more time to spot new birds or animals we could not see on our way down or just to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view the river offers

Now the sad time has come when we have to leave the kayaks and go in the car, heading back to your hotel, with a 25 to 30 minutes ride back and memories we spect you wont forget we get to your hotel and its time to say goodbey.
