About this activity
Start the exploring in Alamo Plaza and hop on a double decker bus with hop-on hop-off access. This pass allows users to get off and explore at any of the 18 stops. To get back on, just go back to where you were dropped off and wait for the next bus, which arrives every 20 minutes. From the plaza, head north towards the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl Brewery Complex, and much more.

Included in this package is a River Walk boat cruise, offering an exciting and entertaining narrative of the rich history of the San Antonio River. Each cruise is about 35 minutes long and covers 1.5 miles (3 km) of the beautiful San Antonio River Walk.

Perhaps the most exciting experience offered during this tour is the ‘Battle for Texas,’ the chance to journey back in time and experience the daily lives of early Texas settlers. See historic artifacts, including Santa Anna’s uniform, Bowie knives, and items owned by Davy Crockett. This display is presented from both Texan and Mexican perspectives and offers visitors the chance to experience what it was like to have been at The Alamo in a setting that captures the spectacle, heroism, and ultimate sacrifice of those who gave their lives for a cause they believed.

This was a very nice option as we upgraded to a 2nd day and got the third day also. There were 18 stops which got us close to everything we wanted to see. Because of it being the off season, the wait for the bus was about 15-20 minutes. Every one was friendly and helpful. Great barbeque at Augies.

This is a great way to see San Antonio. We stayed on for the complete loop. Not all stops will interest everyone. The Battle for Texas was very well done and if you take the time to read the displays, the story of this town and the Alamo and Texas is explained very well. Make sure you watch the film at the Alamo for the complete story of what happened here. The Alamo is free. The riverwalk is the 1 highlight by far and should not be missed at night. Stay at Hotels on the riverwalk. The Dury Plaza is terrific!

Loved the versatility of hopping on and off to see many sites. The Battle of TX experience was a great complement to our visit to the Alamo. My biggest ( and most frustrating) complaint is still needing a paper trail even though the website states admission can be done via either paper OR electronic!

We all had a very fun day. Enjoyed learning more about the history of the Alamo and San Antonio. The river cruise was great fun as well. Lots of good eating and shopping
