About this activity
Pick up in your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas in at 8am. Transfer to the Montebello Lagoons, 131 km. approximately a 2 hour. There are 50 communicated lakes surrounded by lush vegetation, where we will be able to take beautiful pictures. There are shelters, soup kitchens and rafts.
Located two hours from San Cristobal de las Casas, El Chiflon is an eco-touristic park where you can take a 60 minutes tour, next to the turquoise water of the river. During the journey it is possible to stop and observe the main waterfalls and cascades until you get to the highest waterfall "Velo de Novia" with a fall of over 120 meters high and surrounded by lush vegetation.
Amatenango del Valle is a Tzeltal town located on a small hill surrounded by cornfields covered valley. It is known for its excellent pottery made by natives who still used in its preparation prehispanic methods. You will see women with their typical dresses: blue or red skirt, white Huipil embroidered in red and yellow and a headdress.
