About this activity

This enjoyable trip transportation is by AMTRAK Long Distance train and small vehicle from local tour company. Our customers like this arrangement instead of a bus or a van tour.

Day 1 - 7:45 a.m. Transfer from San Francisco to AMTRAK Coast Starlight leaving at 8:50. Riding through San Jose, and Salinas you reach Paso Robles at 1:45 or San Luis Obispo at 3:20. Short cab ride to your hotel.
Day 2 - 7:40 a.m. Pick up by driver/guide in a small vehicle for a trip to Pacific Coast through Morro Bay to San Simeon for a 2 hour tour of Hearst Castle and then Elephant Seal Rookery with a picnic lunch. Return to San Luis Obispo to board Coast Starlight train leaving at 3:30. Enjoy the train ride watching miles of Vandenberg Air Force Base and Santa Barbara Coast. Turning inland at Ventura the urban sprawl takes over and the metropolis of Los Angeles emerges above the night sky. Reaching The Union Station by 9:00 you can take a cab to your destination.
The time you spend on this trip and the places you see will remain in your memory for a long time.
